Lifting for 15+ years

I have had ample experience with preworkouts and stimulants in the past, so I decided to start with 1.5 scoops to evaluate tolerance before increasing my dosage.

On this day, I was running on around 5 hours sleep the night before and a large slice of pizza (I had to get up early to run errands and it was the only food handily available).

T+ 0:00 — Open my tub of Tiger’s Blood. The packaging is of the highest quality, smell, and taste of the powder is pleasant. The powder mixes well with 16oz of water with no clumpiness (Glycerol pump can cause clumpiness). I down the solution with relative ease.

T+ 0:10 — Starting to feel a caffeine-esque buzz like a strong coffee. Mood is neutral, energy levels beginning to rise after feeling tired and sluggish.

T+ 0:25 — Hit the gym, which is completely empty. Decide to train arms as I’d had a poor night’s sleep and wanted to see Gorilla Mind’s effects in boosting vascularity in my arms. I was not disappointed — my arms and shoulder look huge. The vasodilation of the preworkout is something to behold; I tore a small scab on my thumb and it bled drastically more than usual, taking around 10 minutes to fully clot.

T+ 0:30 — Warm up, had some shoulder impingement before attempting some heavy close-grip bench. Having said that, my energy levels were off the charts; I wanted to broad jump over a massive tractor tire next to the bench. The energy was completely clean with zero jitters or nausea whatsoever.

T+ 0:40 — Start doing front levers and practicing muscle-ups on the pullup bar next to the bench — surfing an abundance of energy. I felt almost superhuman.

T+ 1:00 — My energy levels were insane. My endurance levels were insane. My recovery time between sets was significantly reduced and my total reps per set increased by about 50%. I have been cutting fat for a while and, as a result, my workouts have suffered — even with taking preworkout. Gorilla Mode catapulted my workout to outer space.

T+ 1.30 — Energy levels and focus still going strong. I could have stayed at the gym for a little while longer, but had other commitments to honor. My pump was insane — like nothing I had ever experienced. I haven’t had a workout or pump like that since my early 20s. I could have completed twice as many sets had I stayed. Tomorrow is leg day and I’m looking forward to see what I can do.

T+ 4:00 — Writing up my review; and I’m feeling no malaise or “comedown.” In fact, I don’t think I would have much trouble falling asleep if I wanted to. There was nothing “unclean” about the energy. The focus was laser-sharp. But the most impressive feature about this preworkout, in my opinion, was how my endurance levels and rest times between sets were noticeably reduced. As I previously mentioned, I could complete around 50% more reps at a lower weight while being in a sleep-deprived state.

T+ 8:00 — (Updated the following day) Going to bed was easy and there were no unpleasant aftereffects to report.

My only complaint, however, was that, as a former powerlifter, I like to lift heavy and I struggled a little to bench weights >70% of my one rep max — but being sleep-deprived and half-fasted may have had something to do with my shoddy performance. Another potential flaw is that it is too effective at delivering a pump, which can be less than ideal if you’re trying to squat or deadlift a heavy weight.

Given my sleep-deprived state, it would be unfair to negatively mark down the preworkout too much for this when ALL other aspects or what I’d expect from a preworkout were outstanding. For bodybuilders, this preworkout — although slightly pricey — is worth every penny.

You will get a supraphysiological workout and enjoy a total output absolutely superior to other supplements on the market. While many tell you that a cup of black coffee before training is enough, nothing over-the-counter I have ever tried comes close to Gorilla Mode.

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best preworkout I have ever tried in my life.

Other pre-workouts can inject your workouts with an abundance of energy that isn’t necessarily clean.

Other pre-workouts can give you intense workouts and help psych you up for massive lifts, but none have come close to providing a similar level of endurance.
